Dr. Jude Severson is a proud Deerwood, MN, native, growing up alongside his six siblings with a deep connection to his hometown.
He left to pursue his Bachelor of Arts degree from Benedictine College in Missouri but later returned to Minnesota for his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. During this time, Dr. Severson was recognized with the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) Scholarship for Holistic Dentistry, the J. Raymond Gill Award for Outstanding Achievement in Pre-Clinical Prosthodontics, and the 2024 Outstanding Leadership Award for his class.
Dr. Severson is thrilled to have an opportunity to give back to his home community through dentistry — the perfect blend of science, art, and compassion. He believes dentistry is a way to connect with people while making a tangible difference in their lives. Whether he’s working with young children, adults, or seniors, he takes time to understand their unique needs and ensure patients leave with a confident, healthy smile. After all, it’s not just about the quality of dental care he provides, but also about making every patient feel valued, understood, and supported.
Dr. Severson met his wife, Mairi, at Benedictine College, and together they have three children: Florence, Desmond, and Ezra. When he’s not changing diapers or bringing smiles to his patients, he can be found road biking, mountain biking, cheering on the Vikings, or enjoying the great Minnesota outdoors with family and friends.
