Dr. McLean Severson obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry after earning his Bachelor of Arts from Benedictine College. With extensive training in Dental Implantology, Oral Surgery, Sedation Dentistry, Endodontics, and Cosmetics, he is committed to providing the highest quality care. He also serves on the Project Haiti Board of Advisors, directs Project Haiti Dental, and is an associate faculty member at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where he focuses on mentorship and inspiring future dentists.
For Dr. Severson, being a husband and father is truly the highlight of his life. He is passionate about lake life, and some of his fondest memories are of taking his kids tubing and spending quality time with friends and family on the boat. Whether cycling the local trails, golfing, or relaxing by the fire, he loves making the most of every moment—all with great music playing in the background. Raised in Deerwood, MN, Dr. Severson is proud to be part of the community that shaped who he is. Today, he lives in his childhood home with his wife, Dr. Victoria Severson, and their four daughters: McKenna, Adeline, Amelia, and Margot. Dr. McLean and Dr. Victoria met on their first day of dental school—proof that a shared passion for teeth can spark more than just smiles!

He finds fulfillment in alleviating pain, restoring function, and giving patients the ability to smile confidently. He is especially motivated by helping high-anxiety patients, making complex treatment plans simple and approachable, and ensuring each patient’s experience is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Building a trusting relationship based on honesty and transparency is at the heart of his approach, ensuring patients feel heard, understood, and cared for. Known for his charming and approachable demeanor, Dr. Severson easily connects with his patients, empowering them to achieve their oral health goals through education and involvement in their treatment plans.
